Celebration Painting

This contemporary mixed media painting was my last painting of the year 2023, finished on New Year's Eve. This abstract artwork is a celebration of the end of 2023 and the new year 2024. My intention was to create something rich and elegant. This painting is build up on layers that created depth and texture. I used some newspaper to create more texture. I played with different shades of gold and a little bit of copper that I combined with black and white. You can see some of the underpainting through the white layer. I also added some gold leaf in some areas. This original artwork will be a great addition to any modern home. It is hand painted with acrylics on a gallery wrapped canvas size 30" x 40". The edges are painted, therefore you don't need to frame it. The painting is varnished and signed in front and back. This unique piece of art has a wire in the back for proper hanging. The painting is sold without a frame.
