This vibrant but minimalist original mixed media artwork will definitively create a unique contemporary decor for any home or office! This textured artwork is done on a 1 1/2" deep cradle wood panel. It is created using recycled paper towels that I use for painting. My paper towels always end up so beautiful that I can't throw them away, hahaha!!! So I keep them like treasures to create pieces of art with some of those. I treated the paper to seal it and stiffen it and created a sculptural shape that I then attached to the painted cradle wood panel. The sculpted shape I obtained made me think of a profile of Japanese women in her traditional kimono. So I decided to paint some cherry blossoms and she is going to the cherry blossom festival all dressed up for the occasion. The sides of the wood panel are painted with solid aqua. The artwork is not varnished, so it's best to place avoid direct sunlight. It is signed in front and back. This unique piece of art has a wire in the back for proper hanging. Its small size is perfect for small spaces or for small gifts.
