This original impressionist painting of a waterlily pond is very serene and will bring peace to any room of your home or office. This contemporary artwork is hand painted with acrylics on a gallery wrapped canvas size 30" x 40". The painting is built up on several layers to create dimension, and you can see some of the under layers peeking through. I used various techniques to create the background layers that include drippings and playing with rubbing alcohol that allows to create a cell effect. The lily pads and flowers are painted with a palette knife for texture. The painting wraps around the edges therefore you don't need to frame it. It is varnished and signed in front and back. This unique piece of art has a wire in the back for proper hanging. The painting is sold without a frame.
