Pretty Peonies Painting

This original mixed media floral painting is a tribute to my grandmother. She had beautiful pink peonies in her garden and every year I would go there and pick up of her peonies to make a bouquet for our home. This contemporary impressionist artwork is hand painted with oil and cold wax on Arches oil paper and then mounted on a cradle wood panel size 8" x 8". The colors are very peaceful and serene. Oil and cold wax medium allows you to work in layers, adding and removing, allowing you to reveal some under layers and to create lots textures. This unique piece of art is signed in the front and back. The edges are painted with solid black. It is sealed and varnished for protection and comes with a wire for proper hanging
