Surprise Me Painting

This contemporary intuitive floral painting started out with some leftover paints that I didn't want to waste. So I thought, Ok, I'm going to paint a background with my orange and pink color palette for a new small painting on paper. I was going to just leave it on the side but then I still had some of my blues and greens on my other palette, so I went on and on ... and here is the result. No plan, no thinking, just playing with the paint and the colors and noticing what was happening when the blues and greens started mixing with my pinks and oranges that were not completely dry. It is hand painted using acrylics on acid free 140lb cold press watercolor paper. This impressionist painting is built up on several layers to bring depth and dimension. It has texture as well. The size of the painting is about 8.25" x 10.75". It is varnished and comes with a white mat size 11" x 14". Its small size is perfect for small spaces or for small gifts. This unique piece of art is ready to frame and is signed in the front and back. The painting comes in a protective sleeve.
