Autumn Red Scarf

The Autumn Red scarf is perfect for the fall season with it’s red, brown and orange shades and leaf prints! This beautiful wearable art scarf is handmade with a bamboo cotton jersey that I hand painted and then sun printed with leaves collected during my walks. The sun printing technique consists in painting on wet cloth and then apply some objects on to the wet painted fabric. It is then left to dry in the sun. Once the fabric is dry, it will leave the marks of the objects that were placed on the fabric. Because the painting is done on wet fabric you obtain a beautiful watercolor effect and it creates new color shades as they blend together. The reverse side of the scarf is a solid red cotton lycra. This scarf closes with a red polymer clay button that I made. It will keep you warm all fall winter season. If you are looking for one of a kind gift, it is perfect!
