This wearable art silk scarf was inspired by my waterlily pond paintings. The scarf representing an impressionist waterlily pond was hand painted using professional silk dyes. I used different techniques that include tracing the contours of the flowers with a resist, and batik to create different layers of colors on the waterlilies. I used soy wax in the process. The colors came out so vibrant. The dyes have been steamed set. The scarf is colorfast and has been washed several times. This one of a kind shawl is lightweight and breezy and is the perfect fashion accessory for any season of the year! This scarf is unique and will make a fantastic gift for her!
